Intel Teach to the Future

includes whole day (9:00- 5:00), half day (1:00 - 9:00) and evening (4:00 - 8:00) sessions

$100 plus any CRT replacement

An intensive program involving approximately 10 weeks of extensive teacher professional development creating a classroom Unit of Work aligned with VELS using higher order thinking skills utilising MS Office products. Participant costs include extensive manuals, Mentor release, travel, catering and ongoing support. Heavily subsidised by the CeLL Initiative! 10 places only

Great News. Peter Maggs (Australian Children's Television Foundation) will conduct a train the trainer session for all teachers. Learn how to use this 3D animation program distributed to all schools. Use online sharing of Kahootz projects after school activation. Extend on the Kahootz: Basic Kahootz Skills CD ROM as supplied to schools. N.B.12 places only.

Integrating ICT into the Curriculum

(CeLL Module)

Create a broad and expansive use of ICT across the curriculum to develop eLearners using the Victorian Essential Learning Standards
  • Provide strategies which will assist participants to adapt current teaching practices to increase the integration of ICT into the curriculum
  • Provide a framework for unit/lesson planning which integrates ICT into the curriculum.

Using the Internet for Teaching and Learning

(CeLL Module)

This module has three distinct focus areas: the Victorian Education Channel, web-based resources and online collaborative projects. Extensive PD using the Internet for email, research, internet projects and online communication including EduConf (NetMeeting). Each of these is presented as a resource or approach that can be used:

  • Support participants in developing Internet-based teaching and learning resources which enhance student learning

  • Support the development of understanding about key elements for successful web-based learning activities and online collaborative projects

  • Guide participants through a variety of tasks through which they can investigate ways in which web-based learning activities and online collaborative project activities can be developed.

Enhancing Digital Content and Creation

Use DE&T Digital Resources, Kahootz, PowerPoint with MSProducer, and a variety of peripherals to enhance digital resource use.
  • Enhance participants’ knowledge of digital content and creation resources
  • Provide strategies for using digital content and creation tools in the classroom
  • Provide a planning methodology for integrating digital content and creation tools into current classroom curriculum.
