Year Six News Year 6V have recently been involved in the community 'Art Is..' Festival. Here, they are participating in a workshop building 'Bamboo Birds' to be used as part of the festival's final performance. The class have also been involved in oral language activities providing 'sound-grabs' outlining what they are 'into'. These recordings will also form part of the 'Art Is...' performance installation later this month. Students have drawn pictures to accompany their oral descriptions and these too will be part of the community 'performance'. It is hoped that this project will be extended to link 6V students with students in an Indonesian school in Yojyakarta.
